Press release on the outcome of “11th ASEM Summit”
The “11th ASEM Summit” held on 15-16 July 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, under the overall theme “2o years of ASEM: Partnership for the Future through Connectivity”, was concluded with the adaption of three important outcome documents: (1) Ulaanbaatar Declaration on ASEM into the Third Decade; (2) Chair’s Statement; (3) Statement of ASEM Leaders on International Terrorism. On the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Hun Sen held a series of bilateral talks with: (1) H.E. Mr.Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China, about development assistance to Cambodia in the areas of electoral process, health, education and access to clean water whereby China has pledged a three-year grant of Yuan 3,600 million (about USD 600 million) from 2016 to 2019; (2) H.E. Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, focused on boothing trade, investment and tourism between the countries, and on the peacekeeping cooperation; (3) H.E. Ms. Park Guen-hye, President of the Republic of Korea, briefly exchanged views on various bilateral and regional issues.
